Description: In this video, Amelia reviews the subcompact Electric SUV from Mercedes the 2021 Mercedes-Benz EQA 250. In Australia, we have been one of the slower countries to embrace EVs. Our government hasn't supported us in making the shift and as a result, we have less infrastructure, higher costs, and less interest, which in turn means manufacturers don’t really consider Australia an important EV market, which means there is less infrastructure and so we continue the vicious circle. 0:00:00 - Giveaways and prizes 0:00:23 - Introduction to Mercedes EQA 0:01:40 - EQA design 0:03:04 - Motor, battery, and performance 0:03:38 - Driving impressions 0:05:45 - Interior design, features, and infotainment 0:06:59 - Rear seats, comfort space, and features 0:07:20 - Boot space, features, and convenience 0:07:34 - Safety features 0:08:12 - Pricing and conclusion Persistence from some brands like Hyundai and Kia have given us cars like the Hyundai KONA EV and KIA Niro EV. We are also looking forward to shortly reviewing the all-new IONIQ 5. There is also Tesla, their electric vehicles are becoming more and more of a common sight. And let’s not forget some smaller manufacturers who have been offering EVs in the Aussie market for a while like Nissan with its LEAF. So the Germans seem to be developing interest as well, Simone recently reviewed that lovely EQC and now I have its smaller stablemate the EQA. The EQA 250 is meant to be an entry-level EV, the EQA 250, so if it’s good, then we can only expect more from its better-appointed siblings expected to come later. The official range is 426 km. Realistically, you can expect well over 300 km in most circumstances and even more than that with a driving style and cycle that is favored by EVs. 100kW fast charging gets the EQA from 10 to 80% in just 30 minutes.
